The use of the "N" word is borderline violating the 10 year old daghter rule as well.

Sheep has an inherent applicability and appropriate use in our society today. Despite what anyone thinks, the "n" word has never had either of those.

Sheep are everywhere, but until you talk to them at some length, you'll never know if its a conscious decision or if they don't know any better. To catagorize them before doing so is just as unfair as the anti's catagorizing all CHLs as homicidal Militiamen hell bent on killing innocent civilians.

Thats how I see it, fwiw ;)

My apologies - and a correction

#18

Post by michaelbane »

First, I would like to apologize for not replying sooner. I signed up for so many message boards that I lost track of which ones I signed up for.

Second, the link does not work because there is an extra "/" at the end. Take that off and you should be able to get to the website fine.

Thank you all very much for your feedback on my post.

Sincerely,
Michael L. Bane

There does seem to be a concerted effort in the schools to indoctrinate the students into being "sheep" . . . I saw it myself in the '70s in a couple of instances when administrators at my high school started handing down orders which clearly exceeded their authority. For example, they actually set about ordering students not to phone local call-in radio shows to complain about unpopular and bizarre actions by school administration, as it embarassed the same administrators. (They were politely informed that they had no say about what students did away from school.)

We see the long term results today in a variety of ways . . . last year around Austin, cops were randomly pulling people out of bars, administring drunk tests, and arresting them for "public drunkenness" . . . now, there's NO law that says anyone other than the driver of a motor vehicle has to take a sobriety test - certainly not someone sitting quietly, nursing a drink, and watching TV in a bar - but it's scary how many people meekly complied. And were ticketed or arrested if they were over 0.08 BAC.

And how many people consent to warrentless searches, as if there were something wrong with asserting one's rights?

I guess the schools don't teach students what their rights are any more . . . which is sad.

(BTW, in response to a previous post . . . I do not equate "sheep" or "sheeple" with racial epithets, which are altogether different.)
... I have found ways to carry what I consider items usable to increase my means of self defense. These items are accepted as normal travel items, are allowed by TSA, and I make it a point to have them handy when I am on a plane.
I'm sure other fellow frequent travellers, including myself, would like to know more... ;-)

Go to the General Gun & Shooting Section.
Airline Pilots inside Scoop.
This is a long Thread & but in there I remember several talking about good weapons in the air besides a gun.
Some I remember are cane, blanket, cat5cables, 4- 9 volt batteries in a sock. To be asembled after seated on the plane.
There were others but I dont remember.
Pay special attention to KBCraig, Flintknapper, HighVelocity. There were others but I am working from memory.
There will be some posts that nearly bordered on argument due to strong opinions. Sift through those & find the ones about usable alternate weapons. It is a valuable thread in that copacity & worth the time to go through it.

I saw a pickup truck in Philly once, well, other people saw it, I was driving it, it was deck grey and had US NAVY printed on the sides, and a bed full of gun parts - for five inch guns.

Of course that was in 1970.

Sounds like Mr Bane is trying to do something worthwhile. If you don't think there are sheeple, look around you in any crowd. I don't really blame these people though they are just busy living their lives. 9/11/01 woke some of us up but I'm afraid it's going to take a mushroom cloud somewhere in the USA to wake them up.
But I still don't know how his efforts are associated in any way with racisim. :???:

Just so I'm clear, did Mr. Bane write an article about HIMSELF and then post it on message boards across the country??

I support the cause, but that's kind of weird.

I wasn't trying to make it sound all about me. But I did want to let people know I was trying to get this off the ground.

Armed Passengers Project Update for 2/18/07

#28

Post by michaelbane »

Dear readers,

I want to thank those who responded to my last newsletter asking for people to explore making the Armed Passengers Project a non-profit organization. But we still need a few more people in the Philadelphia, PA area willing to act as an initial Board of Directors. If you think you can spare the time, or know someone who can, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I'd also like to thank one of our newsletter subscribers for giving us some extra publicity. You can read about it at the following link:

As always, any support is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Michael L. Bane

Mr Bane I am all about loosening security restictions especially on passenger aircraft but considering any type of a boycott would hurt the already struggling airlines more than the TSA and 1 of the airlines that would get hurt also provides me with a paycheck I will not support such actions.

Hank, the "public intoxication" deal around Austin may have stopped. but it is still alive and well around Bryan/College Station. About two weeks ago, the couple of DPS Officers there came upon a car that had gotten stuck on the side of the road while attempting to turn around. The driver had already called for someone to come and assist them with getting out but the DPS arrived before the help did. The Officers asked the three occupants to get out of the car. One passenger (whom I know) that was calmly seated in the back and had "allegedly" only had a couple of beers then got out of the dead and stuck vehicle, just as he had been asked. When he got out of the vehicle, the Officers cited him for PI, handcuffed him, and took him to jail. When he went to see the JP about it a couple of days later, he was told that the Officers was well within his rights and had the authority to do that. I could understand them asking him to get out but then citing him for PI was wrong (In my opinion).

As far as the APP, it might be a little difficult to find people on the TexasCHLforum that live in Philadelphia,PA but anything is possible. ;-)
