Sad. I realize someone lost a son. But how could perfect strangers see the evidence (video) and fault the attendenats for defending themselves. If that thuggery happened here there is a good chance there would have been a double funeral. New york is a joke!! :txflag:

I second the "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" Professor Farnsworth image. ;-)

While I generally agree with the sentiment that the father is responsible for his sons death, I still feel the son is directly responsible. He could have chose to act differently and tried to descalate the situation instead of joining in, alas he made his own choice and we see what that resulted in. The family should be sad that he threw his life away for nothing...

No matter how famous or how much money you have you just can't take the ghetto out of people.

Petition responses are... insane. "MURDER! No one should be allowed to use a knife against an attack!" Page #3

I dont know about this. People are ignorant. Glad I dont live in the Big Apple.

I once spent an hour arguing with a guy that when a bank robber shoots an armed uniformed security guard inside the bank he is robbing it is not self defense. This happened in the early 70's in Dallas. He was incensed they charged the brother with MURDER.

I might as well have been arguing with my Irish Setter. You just can't reason with some people.

This is sad, for someone to die over a bottle of cologne. The father was wrong for attacking and the son got what he asked for charging in and beating the attendant like he did.

I'm sorry for the family and friends for their loss but everyone is responsible for their own action. The petition is a joke, grown up and be responsible.

Here is another reply, from page three, that seemed to be too subtle for them to catch the sarcasm...

"I can't believe these scum attendants are getting away with murder! Didn't they know that Isayah was a football star! They should have taken their beating like men and not fought back. Sure, they might have got severe brain damage or died, but Isayah would be alive to play in the NFL! God bless."

From reading many of the responses, it would seem that they see the actions of the father and son as just fine as long as the parking attendants only used equal force to repel them. Be nice if live really worked that way, if people could not be beaten to death with fists, or shovels. But on the other hand, these are the same sort of people who think their deadly actions are excusable because Casey Anthony got away with it?
