Re: Hub hyndai
Here's my take on the OP. There was a (non-compiant?) sign and he had the manager's FULL attention showing his pre-approval letter. He let this yahoo know that thirty thousand dollars was walking out of the door because of their nonsensical policies. We can rant and rave all we want about how many CHL's there are or are not in Texas but that is a statistic. A man facing a good chunk of his week's salary walking out of the door is impact.

...just read back and found this...more fearful imaginings...one could make the argument that the sales manager had a desk monkey with a big hammer with just as much validity...there was no conflict...merely an informing the salesman of why he lost some business...and "if you were arrested"...FOR WHAT????? it seems that whenever someone stands up and makes a firm statement about what they believe, the chickens all fly off their nests...for a minute...then they settle down again...the OP did a good thing the right way....and the sky is NOT falling...Embalmo wrote:It's always a dangerous thing to out oneself to a stranger, especially in the course of conflict. I wish we could cut off all tax funding for schools that don't allow campus carry.

Me too. Can we get that added to SB1581 back in the senate? No funding for schools that don't have a policy allowing CHL.speedsix wrote:...works for me!!!megs wrote:Dragonfighter wrote:Here's my take on the OP. I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

Fortunately there is only one type of anti-CHL sign in Texas.tacticool wrote:Me too. I don't think it would be a good idea to tell someone in the course of an argument that you have a wrench in your pocket either. Many people are freaked by guns and if you say that you have a gun in your pocket in the course of an argument it could easily be misconstrued as a threat; so it is radically brighter to keep the whole gun in your pocket to yourself.speedsix wrote:Embalmo wrote:It's always a dangerous thing to out oneself to a stranger, especially in the course of conflict. don't remember seeing anything about an argument, why is everyone assuming there was an argument here, I agree with what the OP did, I would have done the same thing GB sign or legal 30:06 sign, they want to discriminate then I can too

Re: Hub hyndai
Call it what you will, there was a disagreement. The OP told him that he didn't like the stores policy, told him he wouldn't do business with him, and told him he was carrying a gun. Do you think it's a good idea to get into such a verbal exchange and expose the contents of your pockets when you just as easily NOT. I think a lot of folks forget what the C stands for.JP171 wrote:don't remember seeing anything about an argument, why is everyone assuming there was an argument here, I agree with what the OP did, I would have done the same thing GB sign or legal 30:06 sign, they want to discriminate then I can tooEmbalmo wrote:I don't think it would be a good idea to tell someone in the course of an argument that you have a wrench in your pocketspeedsix wrote:Embalmo wrote:It's always a dangerous thing to out oneself to a stranger, especially in the course of conflict. I really don't understand what the tree comment and smily means, but let's make that more of a one time kinda' thing Announcing that you are carrying a gun in an invitation for trouble. I wish that were not true, but there are folks who will freak when they hear the "G" word; there's just no benefit to outing oneself.JP171 wrote:so does that mean if I disagree with someones rules tell them so and refuse to enter their property due to these rules, they ask why and I say entry is fobidden due to being a yard troll and that I am yard troll then I am arguing and making a threat? hmmm hope it doesn't break on ya man cause that limb is a little thin
