About error on fingerprint cards

#1

Post by loosecannon »

Today I received my fingerprint cards from Integrated Biometric Technology for chl renewal. There was a typo(320 instead of220) in the weight category. I called the chl DPS folks in Austin and was told to
correct the error with WHITEOUT.

The IBT above is associated with Identix. MY prints arrrived two weeks after initial processing.

We have used Whiteout on fingerprint cards, and not had any problems. I always have the student initial any corrections we make, just to make it all legal.

But, why did you not get your cards printed right there on the spot? Seems to me that another 2 weeks waiting for fingerprint cards is just another 2 weeks too long in this process.

The company's procedure is that the prints are sent up the line to a processing center and then mailed to client. Mine were mailed from Springfield, Il. I had assumed one day service. This outfit has a deal with the state and probably will become the only game in town. The local law here will no longer fingerprint for the public.
