L1 and fingerprints
L1 in Conroe will not schedule an appt for prints unless you have submitted your app to DPS. This does not seem to be what I have read on this forum. I was trying to get it all done prior to the class.

Re: L1 and fingerprints
This doesn't stop you from getting it done. You can complete the online part of the application now, then get your fingerprints, then attend the class. They only require that your app be started in the DPS system before getting prints

This is from the DPS CHL Website (bold face in original):
Click the link "Electronic Fingerprint Submission."
http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administra ... ntInfo.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Before CHL applicants can schedule an appointment with L1, TXDPS must be in receipt of a new CHL application. Applicants who choose to submit an online web application can schedule their L1 appointment the same day they complete their online application. Applicants who choose to submit a paper application may still submit electronic fingerprints; however, they must wait to schedule their L1 appointment until after the application has been processed through the mail and they have received confirmation that the application has been entered into the CHL database.

That is the fastest way to do it too.

Re: L1 and fingerprints
I have an 'old' set of L1 prints taken a little over a year ago...
Are they still good / can I use them for a CHL app or do I have to be reprinted?

Re: L1 and fingerprints
L1 submits your prints electronically, you will probably have to be reprinted.
