It was an inconvenience to go back to my car and leave my pistol in my car. My boy skipped the BP and enjoyed playing.

someone has to send them a letter, 30.06 means business would go somewhere else. I do not imagine a gun relate incident happened in those places. Last year there was no 30.06 sign at that business. I will not take my kids to that place again.ScottDLS wrote:Really!! That stinks. I carry at the one in Grapevine because all they have is a generic "weapons prohibited" sign. I haven't been in a couple months. What is it about Collin County/Plano/Allen these days...? I have heard that certain local government officials are telling businesses to post 30.06...

I was living in the same neighborhood in Aurora, CO, when the 2nd incident listed above happened. He really shot up the place. The citizens were so upset over it that the place didn't open up again for a year. And, all the more reason to carry there are these:

Oh, no I was agreeing with you. I understood your point, and my point is they SHOULDN'T post it due to those previous (and even recent) events.Beiruty wrote:I mean there is no need to post a`30.06 there.
I've asked that question, in the past, about other non-compliant signs. My favourite answer was that there are lots of RKBA supporters working in sign factories.BTin wrote:It kind of makes you wonder why someone would go to the trouble of posting the exact language, but not getting all of the requirements correct? Was their reading comprehension of 30.06 just below adequate? If so, my compliance with the sign will also be just below adequate!
That sounds like the same sign that is on ETMC facilities around east Texas. The wording is correct but the letters are closer to 3/4" than one (1) inch in height. While the sign may be a bit on the iffy side, the intent is crystal clear. We don't use ETMC for our medical needs.BTin wrote:If the sign is the same as the one in Chucky Cheese-Hurst, the letters are definitely not 1" in height. The letters were closer to 1/2" in height. You can ignore the sign. I chose not to say anything to management, because they would just correct the sign.
