Easy Renewal's Now

Post by getnit1 »

I did not renew on time a back in 2000 because of a busy schedule (working out of town) and all that you had to do. I let my CHL lapse and had to start all over. Well I received the dreaded letter a few months ago time for renewal. Called the instructor yesterday and he told me to fill the paperwork online and come to the class on Nov. 20th. He said it would tell me what all I would need to renew. They sure did make the new renewal process easy. I filled it out online and it gave a recept and a printed page with a barcode. Read to enclose that page, a TR100 and color copy of my driver's license front and back. I'll take the class on Nov. 20th and be done. Way to Go TX. :anamatedbanana :thewave :anamatedbanana

I'm guessing you have an out-of-state driver's license? It doesn't make sense for DPS to require you to send in a photocopy of your license if DPS was the agency that produced it in the first place. TR-100's are now called CHL-100. All CHL docs now start with "CHL-"
Range Rule: "The front gate lock is not an acceptable target."

No, I have a TX drivers license (CDL). Maybe they are comparing the address or something I don't know. I did not look at the exact # of the form I just assumed it was still TR100, it should the 100.
