Fast is good, but having a smooth and deliberate draw you can do correctly EVERY time is better than a FAST draw you dork up from time to time. I see it in IDPA a lot where some dudes fail to clear their cover garment properly because they are going toooooooo fast, while others ALWAYS clear their cover garment properly because they focus on being smooth and deliberate.In practice I am definitely not as fast but I think that muscle memory worked in my favor
