Yes, if you are around crazies long enough you'll start being a little crazy too. :grumble
You may be right, seriously.

Ahh typical web forum full of snarky, bitter people using the anynomity of the internet to make them brave...
Some people take their internetting very seriously.

Anyway, as far as this story there isn't much more to tell. I quit that job a few months later and never saw him again, but a former employee I still talk to sees him on the train from time to time. He's never threatened him but he feels that we all did him wrong by not firing the girl that rebuffed him and denys the vandalism and threats. He thinks she led him on and embarrased him on purpose. That guy is one of the craziest people I've encountered to date.

2nd reason I own weapons is because in 2008 I got an early morning phone call regarding a friend who had been shot while defending his house from a home invasion. He took a 7.62 round from an SKS in the palm of his hand while trying to hold his front door shut. He lived in a nicer and relatively new neighborhood in the mid-cites and was awoken at 2am by 2 thugs, both with assault rifles, one wearing shoulder pads. They tried to smash the door in but he held strong. One managed to squeeze halfway in and my friend grabbed the barrel of the gun to force it away from him, that's when it went off. Lucky for my friend the thugs fled after the shot and his neighbor and best friend was out front a few minutes later with his AR but the thugs never got caught. It's pretty weird seeing pics of your friends new house splattered with blood, a place I've drank many a beer at and figured was safe.

I've suddenly had my fill of the superior attitude - where's my ignore button? :yawn
Oh the irony...YOU'RE tired of superior attitudes here? Try seeing things from my perspective.

Name calling is always a great way to introduce yourself to a new forum within your first few posts. Good job :thumbs2:

As for this second story, sounds interesting. Care to link to a news article about it? Not saying your lying or anything. I'd just really like to know how the local media covered a home invasion story where two thugs with ASSAULT WEAPONS shot the homeowner, then a neighbor with an "assault weapon" came to his defense.

For your own reasons, your profile doesn't reveal much about you. Please tell us snarks where the "mid-cites" are so that we may be on the lookout for thugs with assault rifles.

Good writing? lol hardly.
Yeah, you can't really make this stuff up...and I'm sure that some of the LEO's here could either find records of it all or may have even been there.

I know you didn't ask for an independent referee on this, but I'll butt in anyway.

I didn't see snarky in any of the replies. Light-hearted and idle banter, yes, but not snarky.

I prescribe a chill pill for all.

Peace, out.

This was in Mansfield, at a subdiv near the end of 360.

They are the 'burgs "mid"-way between Dallas and Ft. Worth. Hurst, Euless and Bedford are commonly thought of such, but others would qualify.
