There's also Oct 2. Would that be better?

If we're going to go to Elm Fork this time, the 18th is off because of the get-together at Alpine that day. What a wonderful timing problem, no? :thumbs2:

10/2 would be fun. 10/5 is my 58th b'day.

OK, I've added a poll now. These are all for Elm Fork for this get-together. We'll consider moving it for the next one.

I voted for 10/02, but I don't know my work schedule that weekend yet, so it may be impossible for me. I am already scheduled to work 0900 to 1800 on the 18th and 25th.

I only wish I had the time this fall/winter to make it to a range session with some of you. Work sure can be a bummer sometimes. :grumble

Cool I may try and come to this depending on the date. I've known andyc for a while.

I'm not too excited about this rule though.
"5. All Rifles must have a minimum of 3x power scope for the 100 yard range"
I never use scopes I only have one and it's not sighted in. Plus I have many rifles I would want to bring which I couldn't mount the scope on.

Too bad you guys don't do this at tacpro shooting center. http://www.tacproshootingcenter.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They host 3 gun matches and teach firearms classes. They have a 100yd range,200yd range for paper targets, two 50yd ipsc bays which usually have steel in them but haven't sometimes lately. Might have to ask them for it. You can shoot from the benches,sitting,laying down, no restriction on fmj or much of anything besides tracers I think,no rapid fire rule, ipsc bays allow you to move and shoot.

But that cowboy action shooting range at elm fork looks neat. :)

This sounds great. It looks like it's about an hour and a half west of DFW on I20, but the facilities might make the drive worthwhile for an all day outing in the future.

And it's never crowded. Many times me and my buddy have it to ourselves or a couple other people. But elm fork does seem to have a decent steel range.
