Is it cheating if I carry in a Wilderness Safepacker for my Wally Walk?

I've got one and I'll probably be using it quite a bit (at least until we have a parking lot law in Texas :grumble ). I've also got a Kholster IWB so I have the option depending on how the poll turns out.

Link to the Safepacker in case you've never seen one:
http://store.thewilderness.com/index.php?cPath=51" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Either way, I'll walk this week and get photos.

Nah. I don't think so. As long as that's how you intend to actually carry.

For me the point of a wally walk is to test out your carry method and comfort level with it in real-world conditions.

Frankly, I thought it kinda silly at first...and did it just for fun. But the longer I carry and more carry methods I play with, the more respect I have for the wally-walk concept. I use it as a chance to encounter most everything you will in day-to-day carry, and in an environment where worst case--you just take it back to your car and go back to the drawing board.

So no...it's not cheating.

Wally Walk is getting a big big issue. The really deal is how comfortable are you and will be will packing heat in the public. I find it most challenging is when at work, in a conference room and some loaded hot metal is between by legs. Good thing, nothing goes boom to disturb the peace. :smilelol5:

Cheating. Just looks like you're carrying a purse.

It's a Safepacker, not a Maxpedition.

Exactly.

Plus, it's big and bulky. Who wants to put up with that??

But hey, if that's how you want to carry, FANTASTIC!!!!!

Just carry!!

My view is it's cheating if you're doing it for the Wally Walk but not cheating if that's your normal way to carry. Either way, this thread is useless without pics. :cool:

I carry with a Safepacker a lot. It works great in the car since you just fasten it to your seatbelt. I use a 2 inch strap to carry it outside. Makes in look like a manpurse but it is a lot more comfortable and convenient than putting it on my belt.

And what will you do when that gets snatched or snagged?
