Just thought of a new one!

Revise the 30.06 Language to include that verbiage in section (e) be required on every valid sign:
"It is an exception to the application of this section that the property on which the license holder carries a handgun is owned or leased by a governmental entity and is not a premises or other place on which the license holder is prohibited from carrying the handgun under Section 46.03 or 46.035"
It does 3 things.

1) Requires everyone who posts 30.06 signs to have to get a new one to be compliant
2) Makes the sign even larger and harder to post, err I mean miss "rlol"
3) Spells out, Right there, in plain English, that it does not apply on government property to any un-knowledgeable librarians, tax workers, security guards, LEOs at a gun show, etc :thumbs2: :thumbs2: :thumbs2:

:iagree:

Also verbal, fine print, etc., notices ARE -NOT VALID- UNLESS 30-06 IS DISPLAYED PLAINLY AT ALL ENTRANCES.

-with a fine for each out of date 30-06, or noncompliant sign.

-with a fine for Illegal 30-06 posting.

(ONLY exception - Private residences )

Respect for private property rights is far too strong in Texas to even try to prohibit businesses from barring armed CHL's.
Ask all the displaced businesses and homeowners that had their property stolen for a new stadium for the Cowboys.
This was taken so that a PRIVATELY OWNED BUSINESS could have new place to play football.

However, that is off topic, but please don't underestimate a pretentious state government from doing something liberal, even in Texas.

I really don't want to seem anal, but I would see no problem with an andvanced CHL requiring more strigent standards than what is required of LEO's. My two cents. I know alot of cops that are poor marksmans.

Concealed carry everywhere. Period. (Obviously, the fed thing would still be there).
Stiffer penalties for CHL committing a weapon related crime. (With privilege comes responsibility)

Allow open carry referendum.
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... (Jefferson quoting Beccaria)

... tyrants accomplish their purposes ...by disarming the people, and making it an offense to keep arms. - Supreme Court Justice Joseph Story, 1840
