A little something to get your blood boiling...

From the article - "But it is more than passing strange that a president so focused on the threat posed by terrorists would let the assault weapons ban expire, and that a society sensibly concerned about the safety of its children would support concealed-weapons and shoot-first laws."
The sentence above would make more sense if you replaced "passing strange" with "reasonable" or "logical".
If nothing else, articles like this are a constant reminder that the battle is never "won".

Wow. It's funny how the "virtually unanimous" position of police officers is thrown around. Most of my frequent shooting buddies are cops! I've worked with police since 1998, our jobs seem to overlap quite often and we run into one another alot working with EMS as a medic and as an RN in the emergency room. I'm friends with a large amout of LEO's, and I've never heard them complain when we go shoot. I even shoot my AR-15 with them! Goodness, I'm such a bad guy! I scare myself. I'm going to donate all my guns to that artist so he can weld them into a big statue of a SHEEP!!!!!

Yes, another anti-freedom rant by Mr. Jackson. Conservative bad, liberal good. I know best. You will die unless you do what I say. Blah! The less than good reverend(small cap intentional) has no credibility with anyone with any ability to think for themselves. The rest are hopeless anyway.

To think he took such a small issue and blew it up to cover all of his anti-gun points. What a self-serving pontificating fool.
"I would not argue that sensible gun control is not an ironclad defense against alienated kids and the possibility of violent fantasies turning into tragic horrors. Nor is gun control a defense against terrorists, homegrown or foreign."
My question to him is....what difference does it make if a terrorist or a local criminal is holding that gun to your head, or is about to shoot out your front door with a 12ga? They'll try and kill you just the same - there's just more local criminals in these parts than there are local Al Qaeda cells.
