Anyone been to Jones Hall in Houston?

I'm taking my daughter to see the Houston Symphony perform Handel's Messiah this Sunday. Has anyone been there that can tell me if they are posted 30.06? I would like to be able to carry my Kahr but I do not want to get there and find out they are posted and then have to go back to the car and drop it off.

I was there several months ago and it wasn't posted, and carried.

I just sang there with the Symphony the past two weekends (six concerts in all).

In the three years I've sung there, I cannot recall ever having seen any such signage, and the subject of carrying has never come up.

It's a City of Houston facility, run by the Convention and Entertainment Facilities Department (they also run the GRB Convention Center and other facilities around the city), so their rules would apply. FWIW, there are typically quite a few security guards around the place, particularly at the stage door.

Of course, if it's not posted, I guess we'd better keep the audience happy!!

By the way, it's the other half of the Chorus doing the Messiah (we split the group among the performances in December), and it is always good! Enjoy!!
