Respect for CHL holders

#1

Post by YabuUS »

Some people - maybe a lot of people - are uncomfortable around guns and the people who carry them. Well, if people are carrying guns illegally then maybe they ought to be uncomfortable. But CHL holders are a totally different breed and they deserve to be respected by the general public. CHL holders have undergone a screening process by government on all levels that far exceeds anything the average citizen experiences. People should think of CHL holders as "government certified good guys" That alone should make business owners welcome them in their shops.

Huh? I can count on one hand the legitimate 30.06 signs I've seen.

Respect is something that is earned, not given out on a little piece of plastic...

Respect is something that has to be based upon an understanding of the issue...Those who do not, and refuse to fully understand the issue will never respect anyone like us that do understand and exercise our unalienable/individual and moral right to keep and bear arms...

Therefore they do not get my respect, nor understanding...

It is also a two way street muh man...Yet, I still have the means to back up my side of the argument...And that will never be compramised...ever...

My wife and I run a small business from our house right now and if we ever get a store front I plan to have a sign welcoming CHL holders. I hadn't thought about a CHL discount but I like the idea!

A lot of FFL transfer guys already do offer transfer discounts to CHL holders. I've seen $5.00 a lot. And it seems those same folks offer FREE transfer to anyone who is active military. And with that act alone, deserves my respect. :patriot: :txflag:

The general public, that have a clue CHL exists, would actually have to take time to educate themselves about CHL Holders and not just believe everything the media claims. Not going to happen in mass.

I wish the local gun shops would give a discount to CHL holders. Besides being "good citizens" we are probably their best customers. I just paid over $30.00 for a box of .380 range ammo. That hurts!

You know YabuUS, you just gave me and idea! I'm going to call EVERY gun store in a 20 mile radius of my house and ask them if they offer discounts to CHL holders. If yes then "you've got my business!".....if no then "that's a shame...why not?"
