And if I can get my tokus in the chair, for the lasik procedure and have that work, to correct a nearsighted condition, that had been plaguing me for most of my "young" life...

I had it done almost 5 years ago...I'm 40 now and it still works...

No fumbling for glasses that may get a smudge in the wrong spot at the wrong time just to see what I am trying to shoot at???

No more contacts that need cleaning or replacement if they get too old or lost...

Come on guys!!! hehehe It ain't that bad!!!

No knives, no pain...Just clear vision, better vision that you've had in years...Corrected in about 3 minutes...

Plus you get to take a valium or two (depending on how much a wuss you are, ahem, I took two...hehehe) and get to take that Saturday off from mowing the lawn, because he does the procedures on Friday, so you can have the whole weekend to be waited on hand and foot...

I liked that part...Being able to sluff off heavy lifting because I was concerned about the inner-ocular pressure buildup from lifting heavy objects...

You have to be a student of the process to tie those factors together and make it a plausible excuse...

Ya'll be nice nah ya here...

Well, Saturday Mike demonstarted to me quite convincingly that at 7 yards, blurry sights "don't make no nevermind" - i.e. as long as you can see some light in the notch, on the sides of the blurry front blade, you can shoot well enough to save your life.

The Novak and Heine sights on his pistols are very interesting - size of notch versus size of front blade.

We ran into a guy who won a very nice Springfield .45 at the NRA Convention. The pistol had a fiber optic front sight that glowed red in the sunlight. He let us try it. Very easy to see, even with street glasses; too bad I couldn't hit anything with it, but the sights were not the problem.
