Re: How often do you carry?
100% of the time (not counting when I'm asleep in bed).

Re: How often do you carry?
Whenever I am awake and not at a prohibited location. Which unfortunately means about 50% of my time since I work at a prohibited location. :(

Re: How often do you carry?
When I first considered getting my license, I often pondered this question. How much was I realistically going to carry? I don't know if it's just me, but I feel that the amount of brazen violent crime has increased over the past few years. So as many on this site have said, "24/7 or guess right."
"We are oft to blame in this / 'Tis too much proved -- that with devotion's visage / And pious action we do sugar o'er / The devil himself."

Re: How often do you carry?
The only time I don't carry is where prohibited by law (which is not much, since I refuse to do business anywhere with a 30.06 sign except hospitals when I'm bleeding or visiting) and work, since they have policies that give me no choice but to drive 'naked' or risk forfeiting my job. Heck, I even have the Kimber strapped on when I'm riding the lawn mower in the front yard.

Re: How often do you carry?
I put in on when I get dressed in the morning and take it off when I crawl into bed at night. It sleeps in a safe on my nightstand next to me :)
On the rare occasions where I go somewhere where carrying is prohibited, I disarm when I'm getting out of the car and put it in the safe under my seat. It goes back on my hip before I drive away.

Yep, that's me too. I liked what I heard from someone else here once: "If I'm wearing pants, that means I'm carrying."Sangiovese wrote:I put in on when I get dressed in the morning and take it off when I crawl into bed at night.

Re: How often do you carry?
I did a site search for other discussions concerning vehicle safes before I posted. I looked for a single handgun safe that would fit under the seat of a sedan. I settled for a lock-box type on a cable.Sangiovese wrote:I put in on when I get dressed in the morning and take it off when I crawl into bed at night. Sangiovese, when you say "in the safe under my seat...", what sort of safe do you have and (to others) what else is available?

...and where is it parked, what make, model, and color is it? Can you send me a tracing of the door key?ninemm wrote:

Re: How often do you carry?
Actually, "safe" is probably not accurate. What I have is more of a lock box on a cable like you mention. I use one from http://www.center-of-mass.com/ and really like it. It's not going to withstand a determined attack... but it looks like it will defeat a pair of diagonal cutters and a screwdriver - so the typical smash and grab guy won't be walking away with my XD.ninemm wrote: I did a site search for other discussions concerning vehicle safes before I posted. Cabela's has an underseat lock box on a cable for $30. Check it out.tfrazier wrote:...and where is it parked, what make, model, and color is it? Can you send me a tracing of the door key?ninemm wrote:
