37 days since certified receipt date (3-7) and not even a PIN yet. Dear Hubby who is waiting also seems actually more patient than I am! Off to Dallas this weekend to visit Grandkids, so that will help to pass the time.

Thanks for holding my hand in the "waiting room"

Amazing. From other posters on here, it seems the ladies get their apps approved much faster than the gentlemen. Hopefully when you get home, you'll have your PIN waiting for you. I had to wait for mine for a little over 35 days, so you might even get yours before you leave.

Another bad day at the mailbox today......

I can't take it much longer ! !

I ordered a "gun belt" yesterday....it supposed to be "heavy" leather which does a better job of supporting the load of the holster, etc. My current leather belt likes to twist and sag when loaded with anything besides my fat butt ! !

Ok, see ya'll later.... ;-)
Packing...I refuse to be a VICTIM.

I finally registered here so I figured I'd chime in on this thread. I submitted my paperwork and it was received on Feb 23rd. That put's today at 50 days. I got my PIN on the 27th day. The website currently says 'Processing Application". Hopefully mine will come quick like some others but I'm not holding my breath.

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

Finally!

It took 68 days in the DPS office to get my license issued. Now I'm stuck with waiting for the mailman to come. Too bad it's Easter weekend, I don't know if the post office was up and running today or not or if they've slowed down. At least I should have a 5 year minus 10 days license. I'm hoping to be able to carry sometime next week. I can't wait!

Day 1 - February 6th: DPS received application packet
Day 19 - February 24th: PIN letter dated (forgot what day I received it)
Day 68 - April 14th: License issued

Well, the planets aligned and today was the day ! !

Funny, I went to the mailbox, looked through the mail and no CHL. When I walked in the whole family said, "Did it come?" I said "UUGH, NO". Then, from the pile my son grabbed an envelope and said, "I think this may be it !" I had looked so hard I missed it ! !

In any case, it did arrive today !

Got mine yesterday!!

08 JAN - took CHL class
13 JAN - mailed off paperwork to DPS
18 JAN - paperwork arrives at DPS
10 APR - called to check on status and had to fax in supporting paperwork
for self report (supporting paperwork sent was lost?) Talked to
Terry down there - nice lady.
12 APR - checked site and says: Application Completed - license issued or certificate active
15 APR - CHL arrives

I think it worked out to 88 days but I had a self report that needed to be worked, so it's an acceptable time frame to me.
