Hubby and I received our Return Receipts for the Applications dated March 7, but still haven't gotten the PINs yet. Does about a month seem in the ballpark for that? I'm usually the one preaching patience, but this is wrse than waiting on a passport.

Hard to establish a "ballpark rule" when dealing with Austin. Luck of the draw is what you can expect.. Speaking of passports, wife and me renewed our jan 05 got it back late April 06...And that's renewals, anyway good luck and this is the best place to hang-out while waiting.

Glad to see everyone moving to the ranks of the well dressed. I bet you are very very close Reysc. Reysc, surely you do not mean you applied for renewal passports Jan 2005 and received them April 2006?

And, good luck to all on the luck of the draw. However, I have seen so many people told now that their application was assigned to someone on vacation/on leave/sick I am starting to think it could just be smoke. But, who really knows....?

Hello Reysc, yes I have an extra h on one site and just dubya everywhere else I believe. Do you have a different login name there? Do I remember your preference is a G26?

I have my fingers crossed for your mailman. Your status has already changed to competed and you are just waiting for delivery, correct? BTW, your posts kept me pretty entertained while I was waiting for my delivery.

5.March 15, 2006 my status was changed to Processing Application
6.April 7, 2006 my status was changed to Application completed
ANYBODY SEEN THE MAILMAN YET???
Great news, less than 60 days, wow. But what about me? :)

My timing was very close to yours, until the "completed" part. :) My packet was received on Feb 10, 2006, I received my PIN on March 9, 2006, and I was listed as "Processing Application" on that day. Day 60 of the waiting game is today, still "Processing Application".......... :( :(

Ok, so now that I've reached day 60, when should I place the "Wanted to double check the status of my application" call to DPS? :)

Dubya,
I thought that was you hiding under the "h" .. I go by Kingsun on the other site and yes G26 is my preference and last Sunday I bought a G17 at the gunshow... As bad a shooter as I am, I figure I stick with 9mms.. Cheap practice rounds ( yes I need a lot of practice) and easier to handle. I might even have some lessons..Well, Mailman comth today and no CHL   .. Hopefully tomorrow!!

Good news today! Still stuck on "Processing Application", but today when I called I was told it would "probably" go out tomorrow. I'm trying not to get too excited - I'll believe it when I see it. But, I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Today was day 66. I'll give a recap of the dates when I get my license in the mail.

What phone number did you dial? I tried 800-224-5744, but couldn't seem to navigate out of the automated messaging system.
