That would work fine for me and thanks for setting this up. I'll try to get an available Saturday to you next week. It will depend if a case I have set for trial is going to settle or not.

BTW, don't forget I have you on the schedule to do a seminar at the TexasCHLforum Day at PSC!

Gentleman, is the meeting room at the Drury free of charge to you? If not, please email me the specifics as i may be able to get the meeting room at the Hyatt Place at a discount or even free.

Henry,

Yes, the Drury gives me the meeting room free. I will be putting up a bunch of people there through the year so we get it as a side benefit on our contract. Has worked out for the past two or three years now.

I am interested too, and live in Austin.

And I am (almost) embarrassed to ask how much the class costs?

(I couldn't find mention earlier in the thread and have to make sure my current budget can stand this.)

Thanks,
HerbM

Do you have any plans to put on this class in the Houston area in the next month or so?

Chas did two in the Houston area in the past month. Maybe he'll do another if there's enough interest. link

Hmmm...thanks. My son will be moving from Austin to Houston the second week of July. he wants to get the Utah CFP since the Texas CHL is taking so long to process. If the Austin class is within two weeks, he will probably just try to get on board with that one and fill out all the paperwork for his new address in Houston...if they will let him do it that way. He already knows his new Houston address.

I have a question about the Utah CFP. Has anyone heard of any issues with local LEO not realizing it is reciprocal?

LEOs generally know that we have reciprocity with a number of states, but they don't necessarrily know which ones.

I have not personally heard of anyone having trouble, but I copy the Utah reciprocity agreement (signed by Gov Perry) and include it with my Utah student packets. And I encourage anyone carrying on just a Utah permit to stash it in their glove box, just in case.

I just signed up for the July 5th Utah CFP class in Roanoak. I am assuming it is your class. My Texas CHL is in processing still...They say about 2 more weeks for that one. I figured I might as well have both.
