Bravo also, but was it a legal use of a handgun?

Doubt a DA in Centerville would prosecute or a jury would convict.

What if it was in Austin, where it happened?

Doesn’t say age of shooter or shootee?

Based on the information in the article, I would say YES.. It was a legal use of deadly force. The bad actor already demonstrated his willingness to use deadly force which by the definition of deadly force "Deadly force" means force that is intended or known by the actor to cause, or in the manner of its use or intended use is capable of causing, death or serious bodily injury He already knocked an elderly person out and was attacking the armed defender.

I believe that the good guy showed admirable restraint before going to guns.

Holy smokes!!!

I know those bathrooms well. Every time I travel to Brenham I stop at Woody's on the southbound side on my way down and then at the northbound side on the way back. And I am always armed.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

Us city residents, assume that out in the country it’s all safe. Centerville is about as country as it gets for me unless I’m driving to ElPaso.

Just over 20 miles from my place. Then again, so is everything.

So, you think your house is far from everything?

Think about the unofficial motto for Midland-Odessa:

6 hours from anywhere!!
