It's true that CHL holders are a small percentage of the population, but they are probably a more affluent group than average. Merchants also have to take into account that each individual CHL holder influence friends and relatives who are not CHL holders. For example, a group of people may avoiid a posted restaurant because a CHL holder in the group doesn't want to go there.

The unprovable stat I have heard from my CHL instructor is that about 1% of the CHLs carry on a regular basis. I have always thought it was more than that. Just his observation over yrs of teaching & asking his students how often they would actually on body carry.
Vast majority of them respond "just want one in the vehicle.

I think the #s of when it is legal carriers are increasing.
Last gentleman I worked w/ on carry works for one of those "Contract" places that gate control the parking lot. He said there was no need for him to have one because he could never carry it except on Sunday to Church.
Preacher: That's OK here.
After he got his CHL & committed to carry every time legal, he has found he went to town more than he thought.

THe paper #s help our cause.
Good Guys on the street armed is better. I am especially encouraged seeing the increase of ladies who carry 24-7.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

I can't argue with that, unfortunately. I belong to a membership club and have examined the logs. Only about 1% of the membership shoots in a week. It's mostly the same people shooting multiple times per week.

I see that Grapevine Mills mall is on the list. I didn't check all the entrances, but checked a couple of them. I went in and went to the information kiosk and asked if there was anyone I could speak with. They said no so I filled out a complaint. I told them I would not spend any money in a place that doesn't allow me to legally carry as a CHL holder. I told the lady that I wanted someone to call me back. Of course, I never got a call.

All they have is the ghostbuster sign with the "State Law prohibits carrying a handgun on these premises" sign. I am not about to point out to them that it is non-compliant.
It is compliant now.
