ETA: Maybe there is a certain number of complaints needed before the AG actually does something. Or, it's just a law that was passed just to make some people happy, and really isn't enforceable. Think about it, the government is going to fine the government.
State government taxing city/county governments. If the AG ever ruled on any of the complaints, the signs would come down.

They need to make the fines payable directly to anyone who can show harm by being turned away.

This is the "wand" check that you must walk through. If it's crowded, you can slip right through without them even getting near you as they're overwhelmed.

I agree that it's not a good idea to try and get away with carrying even though it's legal to do so, but if someone elected to try, it would not be difficult.
The people in yellow are paid employees, not volunteers, who are using the wands.
This is the south entrance coming over 610 from the holy grounds of what was once Astroworld.

I just walked in. The magneto meters are beeping, but they're letting people walk on through without secondary checks. Pretty ridiculous security theater

I'm here for second day. Lady stopped me with her wand and I just said, "No thanks. I'm good."

She looked a little surprised but didn't stop me as I kept walking. I'm wearing a sport coat, hat, and badges etc so that may have helped but still...

Why is the entry still listed as valid?

There is no question that the whole place is owned by the county, just like the Astrodome always has been.

I have not received any reports that the land or buildings are government owned. Are they, and has it been proven that they are?
The formation docs for the Harris County Houston Sports Authority and the lease with the rodeo is here:

They facilities are definitely owned by a governmental entity.

I'm not sure about a formal complaint but when I spoke with a committeeman Saturday, his opinion was that the rodeo could enforce whatever they wanted and if the state felt like fining the city $10k a day then it would be money well spent. This was based on the fact that alcohol was being served on-site and they had no intention of allowing guns and alcohol to mix.

It's so easy to spend someone else's money. I wonder how his constituents feel about that?

Making a complaint to the Rodeo won't do any good. They are not the owners of the property, and they won't be the ones who should be fined.
