texas3006.com policy on "gunbuster" signs
I understand that gunbuster signs cannot support.a charge of criminal trespass, but they do show a relevant mindset. You're more likely to be asked to leave a place with such a sign. And some of us will choose to comply with a property owner's wishes even if not expressed in compliance with Texas statutes. I think texas3006.com ought to allow posting notices of non-compliant signs.

I disagree with the OP. There are some business owners I know that post the gunbuster signs on purpose to meet the requirements of their insurance even though the owner know they don't carry any weight.

Re: texas3006.com policy on "gunbuster" signs
I don't really need to know where the illegal signs are. I carry concealed so they are meaningless to me. I am only concerned with legal 30.06 signs.

Re: texas3006.com policy on "gunbuster" signs
No, signs do not show "mindset" or "intent" beyond what is clearly stated by the sign. Texas has specific statutes for giving notice pertaining to concealed and openly carried handguns. TABC signs are also clear. Trying to ascribe meaning to a sign other than that spelled out in the codes is guessing.KLB wrote:I understand that gunbuster signs cannot support.a charge of criminal trespass, but they do show a relevant mindset. ...

Heck of a first post... agree with the others. Couldn't care less about a ghostbuster sign.

I could understand the thought behind this if you are open carrying. Personally, if I open carried and there was a gun buster sign I would probably not risk the confrontation of being asked to leave and either conceal or go elsewhere. For concealed though, I agree with others in that gun buster signs are really meaningless. Not sure the website needs the extra details though.

Yep, they tell me spend your money elsewhere, and I oblige them by spending my money where there is no such sign.KLB wrote:I understand that gunbuster signs cannot support.a charge of criminal trespass, but they do show a relevant mindset.

Either that or he's also the kind of person that actually slows down to 30 mph on the off ramp (because the yellow sign suggests 30 mph) when exiting from a highway with a speed limit of 60 mph to a service road with a speed limit of 50 mph.Oldgringo wrote:Troll?
