As of Jan. 1, Texans can carry any handgun openly or concealed as long as they are licensed by Texas or a state with reciprocity - meaning another state that also has "open carry."......

.....Also, minors younger than 18 can only "open carry" in the presence of an adult.
What?! The ignorance is painful

SSISD trustee Don Sapaugh, who is employed as vice president of City National Bank in Sulphur Springs, noted specifics of the open carry law which goes into affect Jan. 1 is an issue that’s being addressed by banks and banking organizations across the state as well. He said initially, it was thought that all banks were in accordance regarding firearms at financial institutions, but they’ve learned at least one financial banking association looks at it differently.

The trustee said one important thing that also should be considered when school district policies are amended in accordance with the law is liability.

Specifics on size and types of signs once determined also must be met, Sapaugh noted.
This reminds me of my days working in Federal Government. A bunch of people getting paid way too much sitting around and blathering about things they're mostly ignorant on... Then they pay an overpriced lawyer to tell them what they need to do and the weeks and months they speculated were worth nothing.
