I may have asked before, but who would enforce these FEDERAL laws in a STATE park?

Park rangers. We've had them stop before when they saw me drinking a beer. At that time I didn't know that you couldn't do that (you can get a $500 fine!).

You CAN drink a beer, but it has to be in a nondescript cup. They don't want any public display of alcohol. Normally I would put it in a cup anyway, but at this time there weren't any kids around and we were alone in the campsite. No one else was camping close enough to see it.

I went to Big Bend National Park. It's a beautiful park and lots of freedom except in regards to FireArms. I mean there is a big huge freaking SIGN that says Mountain Lions and Bears!! and they don't want you carrying any firearms. What IDIOTS make up these rules. Lets just say I wasn't worried ;)

They don't want anyone shooting the mountain lions and bears. That's important, you know.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
