I'm askeered of my wife...

My wife took Crossfire's CHL class this last Saturday, and she liked the Glock 19 that she rented for the qualification so much that she went out just now (with me) and got one for herself.
So now I have to be nice to her.
The only thing is that we've been a 1911 household up 'til now, and now I've got to worry about getting the 1911 mojo mixed up with the Glock mojo - which is going to make my USP Compact start gettin' all uppity an' stuff.

Is that what they call a "mixed-marriage"?

Congratulations on the better half's progress.

You always have to be nice to your wife. As Lorena Bobbit and Clara Harris demonstrated, common household items and vehicles can be used to punish errant husbands.

I have always been askeered of mine even before she picked up a handgun.

And you, sir, are a smart man! Me too. It just goes double now that she's armed. BTW, she
really likes her Glock. I dasn't make fun of it. Heck, I might even have to buy one.

I'm going to put it off as long as I can. Do you think there is hope for getting a boy 1911 and a girl Glock to make nice?

A friend of ours suggested that I shouldn't teach Mrs. Oldgringo to shoot. That same friend said that if he was me, he'd carry a gun too.

Scripture
does tell us not to be unequally yoked. I should spend some time in the word, and take it before the Lord in prayer before acting. God did not want the sons of Abraham to marry Canaanite women, but on the other hand, He did bless Moses, who married a Midianite woman.
What to do, what to do?

The Lord didn't say a thing about Texas women except "Here, AGAW, I made this one just for you."
Last Sunday was anniversary 34!

That's awesome. Congratulations! The Annoyed Woman and I celebrated our 20th this past July.

While its possible for a Teutonic girl and an all american guy to get along and make nice, heaven help the offspring from such a union. Just can't imagine what they would look like.

If you crossed a Glock and a 1911, would you get a plastic frame striker fired pistol with a grip safety and a thumb safety?
