Ladies Night at Range.

Is there a range in the Dallas area that holds ladies night. My wife has expressed her interest about shooting. Figured that would be a good way to get her started. I have heard in the past that some ranges let women either shoot or rent for free or something like that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The Bullet Trap in Plano does. Wednesday is Ladies night and they shoot for free. Friday is Family Night and your immediate family shoots free on same lane.

A few years ago I went to "Ladies Night" at Bullet Trap several times. If you are looking for "free" then that's OK but if you were looking for some woman shooters for your wife to perhaps watch and/or meet then that may be another thing. Unless things have changed (and maybe they have), I never saw a woman shooter at Bullet Trap during the "Ladies Night" events. But as I mentioned, I only went a few times. I had a membership but thought that perhaps a group of women got together during the "Ladies Night" event which would be fun....that was not the case. I also looked for a womans shooting group in the Dallas area and only found the Divas. Their agenda did not fit my shooting needs so I didn't join that organization. I read about alot of woman events and/or participation in the Houston area and really envy the women shooters in that area. But anyway, Bullet Trap is the only range I know that has a free Ladies Night. In fact, since I'm not a member anymore I think I'll check out the free offer.

Send Tom C a PM. He is putting together a woman's program in the Dallas area and it will have women instructors. I have talked to Tom several times and this will be a good program.

I am starting another program for women in Conroe in July. Houston is a great place for women shooters! You are all welcome to come down and join me.

To update ladies night at BT are now $5, still far better than the normal $18. I go there when possible about 1-2xs a month and there are several ladies there but mostly with husbands. Aside from me and my partner also a lady we've been the only not with a man ladies there. However it's nice to see women get out and shoot. There were two women there looked to be a mom and daughter that had a male instructor there one night. Mostly it's women in their 40-50s with their husbands.

Just checking around the San Antonio area, I found that the Bullet Hole has "ladies night" on Tuesdays from 6 - 8 p.m. where ladies shoot for free. It says nothing about this on their website, but a call to the location confirmed my memory. I don't know that this is the only one in the area, just that this one does exist.
