Ladise shoot

Post by longtooth »

Mom is scheduled to take her renewal class Sat the 14th. So, the ladies have gotten a lot of concentrated attention lately at the range.

Yesterday Mom, Wife, & a new shooter went. The new shooter has been considering a CHL.
Mostly practice from 3 & 7 yds but I really stretched them out past the 15yd mark to show how distance compounded difficulty in pistol shooting.

I tell new pistol shooters, "7yds is WAY more than twice as for as 3yds, & 15yds is WAY more than twice as for as 7yds. When we move to 25yds, this last 10 yd increase is huge. Then we went to 35." Range lessons learned well.

The new lady shot Moms Storm & her Sig 232. Her 2nd time out & she is hooked.
I love watching girls eyes light up when they hit what they shoot at.
Moms grin at her continual improvement from 5yrs ago: PRICELESS.
When we took targets down & started in NEW SHOOTER asked, "can I take mine home to show my husband. You bet.

Good on ya, LT!

No finer accomplishment than bringing a new shooter into the fold, especially a lady.

Now, is she taking that target home because she is proud of it, or to show her hubby that she's a better shooter than him? :fire

Oops. I mis-read the LT's and RKirby's posts. I withdraw my funny picture.

She was prowd but the time hubby went to shoot, she out shot him then.
I have to be careful w/ this. He is the DR that took my cancer out. I see him again in 5 months. Got to get him shooting.

When I took my CHL test, I took the target home to prove to my husband that I did it, and that I did it well.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
