I'm going to put it off as long as I can. Do you think there is hope for getting a boy 1911 and a girl Glock to make nice?
I suppose anything is possible....but the "smart money" says NO!
Going over to the "dark side". Sheeeesh...

Sethites marrying Canaanites, etc.
Moses certainly made his share of mistakes as well. Remember why he was not allowed to enter into the land of Canaan? While God certainly blessed Moses in certain ways, it doesn't necessarily follow that his marriage to the Midianite was a "blessing", or just something that God tolerated.

Hey, for you Glock afficionados out there, what's with the 15 round magazines that only hold 14 rounds? Wifey's gun came with three 15 round magazines. One of them holds 15 rounds. The other two only hold 14, no matter how much you try. Also, what does it take (besides dynamite) to remove a magazine floor plate so that you can inspect the inside for binding issues? My Kimber magazines hold all 7 rounds they're supposed to hold, no problems, no fuss.

Not a Glock aficionado, but I do know the answer: The other two magazines are female, they do what they want, when they want, and you can not hold them "accountable".Hey, for you Glock afficionados out there, what's with the 15 round magazines that only hold 14 rounds? Re: I'm askeered of my wife...
If they are 15 rd mags (which is how I remember them) they WILL take all 15. Load'em up and leave 'em. Use the plastic loader if you have to. Once loaded, use the plastic loader to mash them down harder and hold it. Just smash them down over and over. They're tough, but guess what, you'll never lack for spring tension to feed the rounds.
congratulations to your wife on the class and the purchase. she'll enjoy I'm sure.

Re: I'm askeered of my wife...
Glock mags are notorious for not wanting to take that last round when new. Load 'em up as full as you can get them. Use the mag loader that came with the pistol or an HKS mag loader, if you have one. Let it sit, loaded, for a day or two. Then it will be tolerable to load in the future. The Annoyed Man wrote:Hey, for you Glock afficionados out there, what's with the 15 round magazines that only hold 14 rounds? The mag baseplate requires a tool to remove. Glock sells a tool for this purpose (and to detail strip the pistol) for around $7. I bought a 5/32 punch from the local hardware store for about $3. Start with an empty mag (duh). You will need to insert this tool through the baseplate in the hole in the middle of it. This will push a sub-plate out of the hole and compress the spring. Shift the tool toward the front of the mag, so the tool will slip in front of the spring. Lever the baseplate off of the front of the mag body. Some people find that compressing the sides of the mag body helps getting the baseplate off, but I don't think it makes a bit of difference, personally. Once you get the baseplate started in sliding off, remove the tool, and prepare to catch the spring and sub-plate before they launch out of the bottom of the mag body. Re-assembly is intuitive.
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Re: I'm askeered of my wife...
My wife has recently become interested in getting her CHL (
) and we have shot TONS of different handguns, including Glocks, Sigs, Kahrs, Kimbers, S&W Revolvers, etc....and when all the dust settled she flat shoots the Glocks better than any of the others. We will be getting her a G26. If I thought she would carry it all the time like she should it would probably be a G19. Now granted my Glocks have trigger works and I installed reduced power recoil springs in them to make it easier to operate the slide, but she flat likes them and shoots them better than the others. I would still eventually like to get her an airweight revolver, but for now she has made it abundantly clear that she wants a Glock.
The Glock magazines will hold full capacity but that last round can be challenging to say the least, especially on new magazines. Get you an UpLula magazine loader and all will be golden. You will wonder how you ever got by without it. Also, buy you a Glock disassembly tool. If you insist on removing the floor plate of the magazine you will need it or something similar as well as need it to detail strip the pistol.

Why would you want her to get a airwieght revolver? Five shots against a Glock 26 and the reloads are so much faster and the recoil is much easier to manage, I think you have a very smart wife!
