Lake Lewisville is in Texas, so Texas laws apply. ;-)

Greetings--

I'ts a US Army Corps of Engineer's lake isnt it ? If so, I believe the Corps' policys are in force both on the water and on the Corps' owned land (i.e parks, ramps ect).

Carrying a firearm on Corps' property is a no no.

Texas Laws still apply, but firearm carry is illegal under Federal Law.

Read TXI's link closely. Possession of ammunition is prohibited. So unloading and leaving in the truck at the boat ramp won't cut it.
