My First Carry Today

#1

Post by BAW1967 »

Did my first concealed carry today since getting my plastic on Saturday. Had to take the wife to the walk-in clinic, then we went to lunch for Mexican food, then to Walgreens to pick up her prescriptions and then to the vet to pick up our five four legged kids. Felt good and I wasn't even nervous at all or concerned that people were looking at me saying he's packing. Got home and asked the wife if she knew I was CCing and she said no because she couldn't tell. I must conceal it pretty good then.

I would say it will get easier with time, but it sounds like you are already completely comfortable. Great Job! :thumbs2:

I have been carrying around the house since I took my CHL class, plus the fact that I have an awesome Tommy Theis holster makes it like it is not even there. :anamatedbanana

Sounds like a great day. You took care of the wife, had lunch with the wife, picked up the kids, and all while exercising your 2A rights. :tiphat:

Walgreens and not WalMart? Walgreens is so much smaller.

You cheated on your first "Wally-Walk" :-) .

Anyhow, congrats on the license

Well done, even with the cheating, which was only partial.

After all, the store name started with Wal.......

Excellent!

It feels good.
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

Got to go out today and carry after all.... might not be official since it wasn't to Wally World ;-) . Had to run to Kroger's to get some stuff for the church luncheon... spent about 40 minutes inside the store, didnt feel like eyes were on me or any thing... actually didnt even think about carry at all... only thought was felt good not having to lock the gun in the truck to go inside...

It might get too easy over time. A couple months ago, I went into the local USPO to return an Air Rifle to the dealer. When I got back to the truck, it dawned on me that I had just committed a most heinous boo-boo. I had inadvertently CC'd in NO-CC land.

Oh, the humanity; but, you know what? No sirens went off, no lights flashed and no horns honked because (you fill in the blank). Don't try this in your USPO.
