If a city ballpark has a plywood board posting NO FIREARMS , is it ok to pack if you have your Chl

Unless profesional or interscholastic games take place there, the sign does not apply to people with a CHL. It's a feel-good for ninnies.

Jim, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they said professional or scholastic sporting events have to actually be in progress for it to be off-limits?

That's right. Carrying a weapon would be illegal only during the event.

These laws about prohibited places are confusing. Some, like courthouses, are always off-limits. Others are off-limits when specific events are taking place. It's easy to make an imprecise statement, which I did.
