If no one outed you and you didn't get arrested then you musta done okay. If you run into any problems, just let us know. Someone (or everyone ) will be able to help you out.Nhilbert wrote:Did my Wally walk first to get it over with did some work at my shop and a late lunch at whataburger! You will never stop thinking about it, but you will stop obsessing about it.Nhilbert wrote:Got my license in today! Had a good carry day today felt weird at first but I think I was thinking about it to much!
That's for sure! I went back to work today (I'm a teacher) and REALLY MISSED it!Pawpaw wrote:You will never stop thinking about it, but you will stop obsessing about it.Nhilbert wrote:Got my license in today! That hard, heavy lump on your belt will very quickly stop being a nuisance and become very comforting.
I asked. They said no.kewlteacher wrote:i am a teacher too and just got my plastic. i know the rules about school, now i just have to find out if the school district will allow me to keep it in my car. Our SRO told me i had to ask. sucks.

Two mistakes...asking the SRO and asking Admin. Don't ask...don't tell. It is their responsibility to include it in the employee policy handbook. Now that you have asked, you have put it on the radar and they may make it policy. Additonally, they have now given you notice and you are basically banned until the person who told you that you couldn't no longer works there...unless they put it in writing...in which case you are banned until you no longer work there. IANL...but that is my understanding. Shoulda asked here first.Songbird wrote:I asked. In my district it already is in writing (albeit deeply buried in many pages of policies). I asked because my CHL instructor told me I was fine to leave my firearm secured in my car, but I wanted to make sure. I don't believe that when dealing with a school district "don't ask, don't tell" is a wise choice.Blindref757 wrote:Two mistakes...asking the SRO and asking Admin. Don't ask...don't tell.
