First scary moment while carrying

So I was at church today and I had a pretty worrying moment.
I was carrying my G30 in a IWB Galco holster at 5 o'clock and a Bersa Thunder as a BUG in my pocket.
I was wearing a shirt tucked in but bloused and I know for sure I wasn't printing (at least not the gun). The only 'clue' was the holster straps visible on the belt and the fact that the shirt hem was unable to be tucked and so it was pulled and tucked around.
Now I was asked to serve on the Lord's table and we usually walk up the aisle from the rear of the auditorium. I maybe tried to overthink everything but I took a place at the very rear of the line of 4 men. Thats when it happened! An elderly lady (a good friend and quite a live wire) ran up and tugged on my shirt. I am sure her intension was to get me to properly tuck in my shirt.....but it worried me a little.
She didn't say anything but she did pull away pretty quickly and I re-adjusted the shirt just in case. Even after church she didn't mention anything. If she saw the gun, she didn't say anything.
The preacher knows we both carry so I am not too worried. I just thought I would share the experience.

Hmmm , sounds like an aggressive and threatening act . Good thing you kept your cool and accessed the situation.

She would be appropriate doing that if you were 8 years old. Hopefully she learned something.

Sounds to me like she was trying to take your firearm -- you should have drawn-down on her...

Grandmas are characters. They know everything going on and they ain't afraid to let you know it.
So far only friends or family have felt the heater - usually through hugs. They bump the end of the grip. It does create a moment for sure.

At Home Depot a few months ago, while being rung up by the cashier, next to me in line, a woman dropped her glasses on the floor. She immediately placed her hand on me just where my cover shirt was over my holstered Glock 19. She was making certain I didn't move and step on her glasses.
Of course, at this point she actually had her hand on the butt of my pistol with only the thin cloth of my shirt to disguise what's she was touching. Without thinking, my hand was instantly on hers and yanked hers off me.
She reacted by loudly announcing she wasn't trying to steal from me. Huh? She was only trying to stop me from possibly stepping on her glasses before she could retrieve them said she.
She seemed to think I had no right to remove her hand as she had good reason for it stay there as long as she thought necessary.
Fortunately, I got her hand off me before she recognized what she had her hand on and possibly started screaming "GUN"!
Once again, proving when people announce "Concealed Means Concealed" is a shaky position to take. You just never know when your concealment may come "unconcealed"...
I got lucky. My experience didn't last longer enough to become "unconcealed", but it came awfully close and not something I ever thought might happen.

Since we're sharing stories , recently I was inside a gas station making a purchase . I was wearing a jacket unzipped with my gun holstered at 3 o'clock . Without thinking , I swept my jacket back (out of habit) to reach for my wallet revealing my sidearm .
Thank goodness the clerk wasn't paying attention and there were no customers around.
This was the first time wearing a jacket since carrying..... won't make that mistake again.

Ok, since we are all 'fessing up, I have one. The very first day upon receiving my license, I went to the convenience store and forgot my wallet, with my license in it. I had my gun in my pocket.
I walked in to get what wifey sent me for and when I got in there was an Arlington cop standing at the check out line. He turned and looked at me. It was THEN I realized I'm carrying but didn't have my license.
He was answering a disturbing the peace call. Apparently some guys that looked like gang bangers were giving him a hard time. Those types are very uncommon in our neighborhood.
My very first thought was 'leave immediately'. Then decided that would draw attention to me and the last thing I wanted was for him to ask me for some ID. *gulp*. I got in line behind him, he paid for his stuff and went on his way. I paid for mine and went on my way.
I would have LOVED to get into the conversation they were having. It was about what defensive items the store clerk could have. The store clerk mentioned tazers(it was the same day we were talking about tazers here in the forum, Oct. 09). The cop recommended against it and suggested a firearm. I kept my mouth shut.
I've never made that misteak again.

Funny how your mind works when carrying:
I was at breakfast in a downtown hotel the other morning. There were 12 of us at a long table and just as I was shifting around in my seat (Ruger LCP, IWB at 4 O'clock) I heard a loud clatter on the laminate floor. Sounded just like a .380 magazine from a Ruger hitting and clattering across the floor! My heart skipped a beat and my hand went to my gun while I slid back and scanned the floor for the magazine.....I just knew I had somehow ejected the magazine when I rubbed the chair with my holstered gun but that was NOT the case.
Turns out the lady about two seats down dropped her fork
My wife saw the look on my face and asked what was wrong. I told her I just had a "hot flash" and everything was ok. She got a kick out of the whole thing later. "Guilty conscience" I guess.... Looking back, I should have been more "cool" and just looked down, kept my napkin ready to cover up and act like I owned the place. Must have been the coffee :)
The Ruger carries so well, I doubt that I could actually eject the magazine as described above, but I had a few seconds there when I thought I had.

That's why I carry my wallet on my off side.

I guess I will fess up as well.
Just yesterday, I was at church cooking breakfast for our mens group. I got there very early so that I could prepare the food in time for our meeting at 8 am. In trying not to wake my wife, I got up very early and put on my jeans and a t-shirt. I then put my Glock in my IWB holster at 4 o'clock and covered it with a vest.
I am at church cooking, just having a great time. About an hour later one of the men walks in and offers to help. He says "You might want to close your vest and cover that up." My heart starts racing, and I immediately zip up. For the next hour I am hyper alert to showing or printing, my mind racing wondering what he saw. It was only at the end of our meeting that he comes up to apologize that he suggested I cover my gun shirt. He just noticed the name of a gun store and he asked where the store was. He also mentioned that some people might have had an issue with me wearing it to church. I know he is a big rifle and skeet guy, so it did not bother him.
I learned my lessons. First, don't get dressed in the dark and second, don't wear a gun store t-shirt when carrying. They got their free advertising, I got a scare and major heart burn!!!

That's how I usually carry and OWB w/ jacket.
Howerever, I'm right handed, so my gun is on the right and my wallet is in my left back pocket. I.e. I don't have your problem.
If somehow I need to keep my wallet and gun on the same side, then I'd probably move my wallet to the front pocket (I hear it is safer there anyway).

I've been trying to remember to put my wallet in my LEFT rear pocket now. Hopefully I'll be used to it when my CHL gets here. That may be tomorrow actually,

I don't usually carry when I am in church. She may have a thought, but who knows, just ask her.
