First off, welcome tothe forum! :tiphat:

The Zoo is owned by the city and government property cannot be legally posted unless it meets specific criteria per the statutes (like a secured area of a police station, or a court in the building.) You can also find previous discussions on this by using the search function of the forum and typing in zoo*.

... however the museum is. They don't have the correct signage but I did take the LONG walk back to my car grumbling about it though.

If they don't have the correct signage why do you say they are posted and why did you go back to your car?

Which museum? There are quite a few around there. That's why it is called the "Museum District."

Like 3dfxMM said, if they don't have the correct sinage, then it isn't posted.

If I'm not mistaken, the museum having the wrong signage would be a defense to prosecution and I would just as soon not go through all that. Had I gone in while carrying there would be a 99.99999999% that no one would have any idea I was armed so there would be no problem. Guess I'm a boy scout.

The museum I was talking about is the museum of natural history / science / planetarium / butterfly complex.

I can't figure out why you shouldn't be able to carry in a museum. What kind of danger would that pose? I'm just saying...

Odd. I was in the Museum of Natural Science last night for their Halloween party and saw no signs whatsoever upon entry.
it's socially unacceptable to be ahead of your time.

Sundial entrance, bottom of every other door. You just about have to be looking for them to see it.

I know that I won't be walking back to my car next time! :txflag:

New CHLers often don't carry when signage ambiguity presents itself.

We are law abiding and don't want to be in the wrong, so will go unprotected in order to be absolutely certain we aren't breaking the law.

Once time passes, we develop more confidence about proper signage and disarm only when it is.

It's a matter of adjustment...
