Is there any benefit what so ever, of sending a certified copy of my birth certificate along with the other required documentation to DPS after taking the CHL class?
Also regarding the passport holder......will this be supplied by my CHL instructor, or do I need to go buy one?
Thanks!

If you were born in the U.S. and have a Texas driver license or ID, you need no further documentation in that area.
Unless something has changed in the past few years, the instructor provides all the forms and the photo holder.

I was born overseas while my dad was serving in the Army. Am I to expect a delay while DPS requests a copy of my Birth Certificate from the State Dept or wherever they get it from? I included a copy of my current U.S. Passport as proof of citizenship with my app. Will this suffice for the Birth Certificate? Just curious.
