Hello fellow members. I just started getting into shooting once again since my kids are grown and in college. Well I try to shoot as much as I can considering the cost of bullets. I have been looking at this site for some time now and have read some very interesting threads. Hopefully one day I will be able to give some advise as well :)

Welcome aboard!
Hey, feel free to give advice anytime. You don't have to know anything to give advice, other than how to type! :biggrinjester:

Yeah, I give advice all the time and I know NOTHING! :cheers2:
By the way, don't park next to a fire hydrant.

And some of the good advice comes from people that can not type.

Welcome aboard - you have now found a great place to waste time, I mean
a place to school yourself on the wide wide world of CHL issues.

If you go over to the personal profile, you can add your
town so that each time you post, the rest of us will know whether we are
neighbors or not.

You can also add a signature line with any data you wish. What fascinates
me about these lowest lines that appear when we post is that even if you
posted something a month ago, but look at it today, it will contain your
latest signoff lines, not the ones that were in place at the time you made
your old post.

What gun(s) do you own?

I am just starting my collection of guns once again! With the exception of my Benelli 12ga auto I only have one Pistol which is the Storm 40cal. You may find this hard to believe but my first wife gave away all my guns when we in the process of a divorce many many years ago. Glad I dumped her :thewave

Good news my current wife of 26 years would not do that......HOPEFULLY :fire

I have a PX4 Storm .40, it was my daily carry until I got my Kimber. Now the wife has the PX4. Nice gun.
I wrote a review on it a year or so ago here.

When I qualifed for my CHL I used my friends 92F 9MM and thought it was a very impressive weapon. However I wanted something with a little more stopping power if ever needed and not as large too. Therefore I tried the storm 40 and found what I needed! Like you said in the review, the similarities are there without the huge kick back. I have only shot about 500 rounds so far without any problems with jamming and that is using cheap target bullets. That is nice piece of mind if you ever have to use it in a real situation. A jam is the very last thing you ever want to encounter :fire

I adore my PX4 storm, it's my daily carry. I've converted it form an F to a G model, put on low profile levers and a stainless steel guide rod... Love it.

Welcome!

Welcome!

I agree, I too love my PX4 Storm! For me I think it is much more comfortable for carrying outside the waist band as opposed to IWB. I was lucky to find the FLETCH holster by Galco at a local gun shop.
