What is your question? Yes you can carry in a police station - depending on what is housed there you might need to put it in their lockbox for access to some areas. No you probably cannot carry in a post office (there is some debate on this one).

However, there was no security between the front door, and the doors to the courtrooms. I went ahead on in to the window to pay for my permit, and then I left. Nobody noticed... nobody was there to notice. I didn't worry about it. The only 30.06 signs I've seen in the whole town so far have been at the Grapevine Mills mall. But I avoid that place like the plague anyway.

BassPro AND the Mall are going to provide security to me and mine as we enter and exit the facility - during all open hours. Hot Diggety! This "heater" weighs heavily on my hip.

So much for shopping at/in Grapevine. The internet is safer and cheaper.

BassPro Grapevine isn't posted. I carried in there just a few days ago. However, they do forbid their employees to carry on the job.

Should BassPro post a 30.06, the definition of "hypocrisy" would need revision.

In the meantime, visits to the Grapevine Mall area will be restricted to those establishments which either assure me and mine protection, to and fro, or those which allow us a fighting chance.

Oh, I quite agree. That's one reason why I don't shop at that mall. Plus, there's a VERY high rate of car break-ins in their parking lot. It's famous for them; so you can't even secure your weapon in the car with any reasonable expectation of it still being there when you get back. Besides, I despise malls anyway.

All those folks who have AAAAALLLLLLLLL day long to walk 6 abreast in front of me at a snail's pace without letting you by just make me crazy. If there was a bullet that would kill somebody for just 10 minutes at a time, I would shoot them all.

On the other hand, the best part of a trip to Wally World and/or the Mall is getting a bench and watching the circus go by. It's usually somewhere between and and and or not.

If there's a properly posted sign somewhere, it doesn't matter if you know or not. The law doesn't require you to see the sign for you to be in violation, only that the property have a sign that is posted correctly.

The problem with that is that the regulation covers the parking lots, too. You're going to be in violation, anyway, just by leaving your CCW in your vehicle. IIRC.

The post office referred to is in a strip mall, like the one for my zip. The parking in front of such a post office cannot, IMO, be considered part of the premises of the post office.

That would seem logical, but logic and the CFR's don't always mix very well. Remember that that little pocket knife with the <2" blade in your pocket also fits their definition of a weapon and is banned from their premises.

But you are right, I either overlooked or forgot about the PO being in a strip center. But the key when dealing with the Feds is that everyone is really only guessing (granted they're usually very well-educated guesses) until someone is found out and gets to be a test case.
