How long did it take to get CHL, mailing packet to plastic?

funny, mine said they took online applications and emailed docs in favor of print. I'm not sure how true that is, but 10 days inbox to mailbox for me.

Yeah I saw that - different county maybe? I live in Travis and have heard from my CHL instructor 90 days is average.

Of course, both the wife and I forgot to put dates on the test and proficiency section - so that probably added a few weeks.

Yes, that is correct. The guys in Austin have to wait on the criminal background checks from each police jurisdiction that you've lived in for the last few years. If you've moved around a lot, then it could take longer as your application is only as fast as the slowest police jurisdication that you've lived in. Also, if you're foreign born, it could take longer. It gets really bad if you've lived overseas recently.

BTW, I waited NINE MONTHS for my plastic to arrive.

mine took almost 30 days in houston
mailed 6/10 -7/7 return
