I've been asked to leave because I wasn't planning on buying that day (which I actually was, but didn't feel like being pressured, I just wanted to take my time looking around). I went down the road to Burdett & Son's, next to Chili's and haven't looked back since. I enjoy everything about the store much more.
What kind of business asks their customers to leave???

I bought a pistol there once and some accessories over the years when I lived in CS and I always had a great experience..I've been in there several times just to browse and was never treated unkindly..I tried the range once and discovered I really don't like indoor ranges.

One with a captive customer base I would imagine. I wonder how many stores are in that area... I would never go back to a store like that.

Me too. While I don't like calling people's bluff, I have difficulty believing that anyone was asked to leave JUST because they weren't buying anything that day.

To each his own.

I took my CHL class at Champions, and in general, I love the store. Mike is a great man, and he made the CHL class extremely enjoyable.

Understandably, I do feel that they do not want people who aren't buying that day in the store. I have never received a bad vibe from Mike, but some of the others are not as friendly or down-to-earth. It's unfortunate.

I've only seen the owner for a moment, but I always feel like everyone but the one friendly guy they get to work the range just wants me to pay up and get out. Might be because I'm just a punk college kid.

On the other hand, they've got a decent selection, seem to have some REAL nice prices, and are by far the most convenient range around, so I guess I can ignore the gruff salesguy once in a while.

I was in Champions today. (It's the only place I shoot other than back home.) I've never had a bad experience on the gun range, and today I spent a good five to ten minutes asking for various prices/opinions/availability on a few different guns. The one guy who originally came over to help me didn't know a lot about what I was asking, but someone who I can only assume was the owner was extremely helpful and pleasant.
