First Carry

#1

Post by Blake »

I received my CHL yesterday. I was pretty excited, but I wasn't planning on doing a "wall walk" or anything like that, but it just so happened that the bulb to one of my snake cages went out so I actually had an excuse to go to walmart (A place I actively avoid). It was either that or order one online, wait, and run the risk of it arriving broken. As it turns out, they had some 100 round WWB, so I bought a box of that as well.

Since I make youtube videos, I figured I'd go ahead and make a video of it. So here it is. Hope y'all enjoy.

PS I'm just including a link to the video since I can't figure out how to embed the video, even after reading this thread.

Good job! For those who fear 'printing', or some such, this well done instructional video confirms that "concealed is concealed" through various kneeling and reaching positions. That said, OP's Wal-Mart must be pretty far from the house, eh?

I thought the same thing when Blake left his house in the daylight and arrived at nighttime. ;-)

The video quality and camera work is top notch. Cool car too!

Several thoughts....

1. The purpose of the Wally Walk isn't to be silly, but rather to have a partner follow you around while you stretch, bend over, squat, and reach up to see if you're giving away that you're packing. It looks like you did OK in that regard.

2. NICE CAMARO!!!

3. That is what a properly lumpy cam sounds like. Good job.

4. Welcome to the forum, if I didn't say it before.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I plan on doing more conceal carry videos showing how I carry. Yesterday was one of those rare cold days in the Valley (We actually had ice!) so the sweater made it easy. Today I went out to the thrift store and carried. I just wore jeans and a t-shirt. It felt pretty normal and I knew I was well concealed. I don't have a hard time concealing really.

The reason it took so long was cause I had to go grab the girlfriend to help me film. Also, I left at around 17:30 and it gets dark early this time of year (Especially when it's cloudy!).

Like everything else, it get's easier and more comfortable with practice. As you were, carry on.

To start off with, great video.

Now, the car......totally awesome, especially with that loping cam stick.

Welcome. Great video. Nice car. You have/will realize that most folks are clueless about what's going on with other people. It took me a few tries to figure out how to reach up & reach down without exposing my gun. Looks like you've got that worked out.

Blake,

You blacked out the info on your CHL, good.

You didn't with your license plate, bad.

Being ever security conscious, can you black it out at this point?

If not, you may want to be very circumspect in what you reveal about...anything.

You do good videos and much like the others I loved the sound of your car.

Abraham raises a question above. I've not been secretive about my CH license. Should it be a secret?

Yes. A CHL is top secret. :coolgleamA:
