I have the Daltech Bullbelt double thick and its really great if I need something where I'll be tucking my shirt in. However, I just can't get that belt just right, one notch is too tight, the next one is just a tiny bit too loose.

Its a nice belt. Not as stiff as I was expecting but its rigid enough and infinitely adjustable! I can get it Just right finally. Its working great for my Crossbreed for IWB and my OWB concealment holster as well. The Wilderness belt has made the biggest difference to me.

I browsed the website for that 3 Speed Holster and love the concept. But although they say it is suitable for wear at all positions, it really seems to be primarily for belly carry. Given that I am not a skinny guy, and have a bit of a Fupa, I doubt I could carry my XD40 Service comfortably in that.

I bought a Harwell Holsters tuckable (same basic design as the Crossbreed Supertuck) and have been happy with it so far. Granted, my CHL just arrived last week, so I have only been using it for about 5 days now. Carrying at 3 o'clock 8-10 hours a day so far, and not bad at all. I haven't bought a sturdier gun belt yet, although my normal belt is a little thicker and sturdier than most normal belts.

I also have a Sig P238 that I bought for pocket carry, and before buying the Harwell holster for my XD I really did not think I would be comfortable carrying the full size pistol IWB. I was very wrong. I am now shopping for a better belt and look forward to it improving comfort even more. The holster is even more comfortable at the 4-5 o'clock position (as in, I can barely tell it's there), but I like to carry my wallet in my right rear pocket, and they conflict. I also get a lot more printing at 4-5 o'clock vs 3 o'clock, where there is virtually none. Also worth noting, at 3 o'clock, were I to try and tuck, I think the bulge in my waistline / belt area would be noticeable. Fortunately I dress casual at work and usually wear jeans and an untucked button down, which is perfect.

Incidentally, for anyone looking for an IWB tuckable holster, I would recommend the Harwell. At least based on my minimal experience so far. It's at roughly the same price point as the Crossbreed (I paid $59 shipped) but they don't take 6 weeks to arrive. I ordered mine last Monday (4/22) and it was at my door Friday (4/26). They do not have the Horsehide option, which I understand is preferable in the heat, but I was ok with giving this a shot. Even if it only lasts a year or two, I am still okay with it based on the price.

I bought a cheap pocket holster for my Sig, which works well, but I have found that the end of the magazine is visible when wearing normal cargo shorts. That is just because of the cut of the pocket. It works perfectly in jeans (assuming you have good sized pockets).

A good belt and holster make a big difference, but it's still a good size chunk of metal or metal and plastic that you would not normally have there. You may figure out a way to carry it without too much discomfort. It's not supposed to comfortable, but rather comforting. That's not mine, BTW, but I can't remember which of our members said it first.

I personally wear shorts and tees a lot. I wanted a simple system that fitted my lifestyle, rather than changing how I dress because of my Carry. I chose the 3Speed Holster (3speedholster.com). I wear it right infront of my Belly Button, with the gun just above my belt line. This is a Deep Conceal and can be totally concealed inside my crotch if needed. I have worn it for the last three weeks religiously, for at least 10 hours a day. never even had a weird stare from anyone. My EDC is a Ruger SR40C ( I have the 9+1 magazine in gun with the 15 round magazine in the mag carrier of the 3 speed). I tried to buy a nice looking holster from Myholster.com. but they never shipped it. I did get my money back. I found a holster on ebay from Daystarholsters.
Great price and its made for my Beretta Cougar. it was hard to find one for my gun. I am very happy with it very comfortable to wear. They shipped the holster next day
Also got a great belt from Bull-hide belts. I like a wider belt and they make one that's 1 3/4 cost a little more. its a thick belt 1/4 inch.

Can you get a decent belt for a IWB holster at Walmart or anywhere in town? Does a belt make that much of a difference on a IWB holster? I could see it on a OWB.

And now for the long form:
Finding a true gun belt for edc has been impossible for me locally (Houston-area). There are a couple of belt/holster makers in the area, but the prices are somewhat higher than online & the quality is an unknown (at least to me). I usually look online. I believe somebody on this forum as compiled a list of belt makers.

A true gun belt will make a HUGE difference. A loaded pistol by itself will stretch & sag your everyday Walmart belt within a few weeks, if not days. Add a spare mag or 2 & you risk an accidental exposure of a lot more than just your handgun. Plus the stability that you get with a gun belt reduces the fatigue that can set in from carrying all day.

I have products from all 3 and am happy with all of them. They fit different purposes - casual, dress, tactical, etc.

That may work for you big guys but if I wear a OWB holster I have a huge bulge, no way could I carry like that without wearing a jacket.

I actually find it easier to conceal OWB when I've lost weight. I've found it has a lot more to do with the holster, the gun belt, and wearing oversized shirts than it does body type.
