Just finished the CHL class

#1

Post by teri »

I took the class yesterday. I plan to complete the paperwork and get the prints this week. I know it will be a long wait :???:

My husband already has chl. I'm glad I found this site. So much info in one place! :shock:

First order of business will be to find a suitable purse. Off to look for those threads.... ;-)

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

I think I remember Cabela's having a coupe of purses for conceal carry. What gun will you be carrying?

Thanks for the welcome! I'll check out those links.

I will be carrying a Glock 26. My husband just got it for me today. It fits my hand perfectly. I can't wait to try it out at the range.

Welcome :tiphat:

If you haven't already, spend some time reading the worthwhile women's CHL guidance offered by Kathy Jackson at http://www.thecorneredcat.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Specifically related to purses:

NO purse carry, purses get robbed. If you give up your purse OR it gets snatched you lose your gun and your only chance to defend yourself

purse carry is the least preferred--but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do. Another good site is http://www.mygunpurses.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Good quality and MUCH cheaper than some of the more well known names

I agree that a purse is not preferable. I just want one for the times when it may be my only option. I also prefer the crossbody so it will not be so easily snatched. Thanks again for the welcome....I've enjoyed the links. The cornered cat is a nice treasure trove of info.

LOL, Amen to that! I get my prints done Weds afternoon and I'll mail my paperwork off. That will begin the "official" wait, however I think my waiting started the minute I walked out of the class. :totap:
