Fresh from the factory

Post by easyridertejas »

Yup, i'm a new one too. Is my tag showing? I'm john and i am in the hill country. I have had my Permit for about 8 years. I was competing in Practicle pistol competitions 2-3 years ago and i intend to get back into that this spring. Nothing says "Happy" like the gratuitous discharge of firearms for no particular reason. Anyway, i joined the forum to ask questions about the CHL laws. I call and email DPS a lot but they just dont want to interpret the laws intent at all. So i'll ask those questions in the forum i see dedicated to that topic later.
Thanks for giving people like me a place to do that. Is this a great country or what?
I'm not worried about a bullet with my name on it so much as the ones that say "to whom it may concern" on them.

Welcome to the forum John. :tiphat:

May I presume that you are a motorcycle enthusiast by the username you've chosen ?

Also, you've come to the right place regarding Texas CHL laws.
There are many members here who are well versed on the subject.

Welcome to the forum! This is definitely the place to ask questions. You'll certainly get a lot of answers, and sometimes they're even correct! ;-)

Hey easyridertejas, welcome to the fourm! You've come to the right place! :tiphat:

There is a great group of gals & guys to help you answer your questions.
I call and email DPS a lot but they just dont want to interpret the laws intent at all.
But of course! That requires a lawyer! Plus a State agency simply cannot get into the practice of giving out legal opinions. It's just not done.

Ask your questions here. Most of us are NOT lawyers to be sure. But you will get informed OPINIONS. And only that.....OPINIONS.

if you doubt beyond that, THEN get the opinion of a lawyer. ;-)
