It's the difference between thinking "they're after you" as an individual (tinfoil hat time), and recognizing that you need to be ready for the possibility you may be randomly targeted by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You're paranoid.

Completely agree with you guys on being prepared. People think I'm weird when I don't panic during emergencies. Well, that comes from training with things such as military, white water guide, etc. I do love the "I can't believe this is happening" attitude. I can never see how they don't believe it since it is happening at the moment or just did. Reminds me of a saying we had when rafting. There are two types of guides, those that are about to flip and those that have, and once you have you are once again in the former. LOL Basically, it wasn't if, it was when..

I am figuring on keeping it quiet as well though. My brother and his wife know, but he carries now and she is about to take her class. My fiance might, but she doesn't seem to mind me deciding to do it. I just wish it was easier for work since I travel so much.

You've seen this:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Seems to me that is quite adequate and supports CHL in every way. The anti's just don't get it.

How about:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
Wisdom to know the difference;
And the patience not to shoot those who can't tell the difference and ask rude questions.
