Thanks for the quick reply, Mr. Charles. I will (not so) patiently wait until Sept. for the next match. Maybe some of the IDPA matches will hold me over 'til then!! Been thinking of trying those as well.

If you are not aware, West Houston Shooters Club puts on a montly 3gun match the 2nd Saturday of the month at the ImpactZone.

Greenwood is having a multi-gun match 6/30/2012

Bill Hunter runs these a couple of times each year. Proceeds from the match get donated to some gun related group. Often TSRA & NRA but it rotates from match to match.

Greenwood Gun Club is about 45 minutes South of the I610 Loop. Just off of FM 521

I hope you wait until a hour or two after the IDPA match to open registration. Otherwise my son Billy and I might not get slots...
Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.

What rules and weapons limits are we going to be using?
What is the longest rifle shot?
How many rounds of shot, slug, pistol,rifle?

right now it looks like

5 stages,

82 rounds rifle (223 only) Max range 50 yards.
16 rounds pistol
36 rounds shotgun, all bird shot 7-1/2 or smaller.

NOTE minimum round count, subject to change

well, we have been watching the weather for the last few days, and with the for cast for widespread heavy rain going from 70% to 80% to now 90% chance of rain, we have been forced to call the match off and cancel it for this month.
