Anyone know when the next IDPA match is at PSC? Also, do u have to be a member? What are the concealment requirements?

http://www.psc-range.com/index.php/calendar18" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Go to the calendar at the above link, click the IDPA Match link on the calendar for specifics

I do not believe you need to be a member, but I believe it costs an extra $5 or so, to join.
You do need to preregister at http://www.psc-range.com/index.php/event-registration" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

PSC hosts an IDPA match the 4th Saturday of every month. You do not have to be a PSC member but you do have to pre-register for the match on the PSC website. Registration is generally opened up the week preceding the match and there is a 100 shooter limit so it's a good idea to register ASAP as it fills up quickly.

Thank you so much for the fast replies. I look forward to shooting their IDPA match, as the only ones I've shot are at the Arms Room. How do they compare? Is the round count about the same? Will I need a cover garment? Sorry for all the questions. Lol. Thanks for any info

Concealment is required for all of our matches. Our round count is around 130 or so and our matches are a lot more elaborate than any indoor range can offer. We also adhere to all of the IDPA rules more stringently.

I'm one of the COF designers for the Arms Room, what Charles says above is spot on. The stages will be more elaborate, round count usually around 130 (bring more). We design as elaborate as we can, but there is only so much you can do in an indoor range. (the trade off is that it doesn't get hot/cold in indoor ranges). The guys at PSC put on a great match every month. The match is as good as any of the major matches that you would go shoot (even though I'm convinced that Kevin hates lefties for some reason) :biggrinjester: .

Also, expect the match to run a little quicker than what we do at The Arms Room. Since they are able to split up into 7 squads and do not have to reset stages halfway through the match.

and-- Summer's here-- bring sunscreen and fluids. Be cautious to not get caught up in the activities of the match, forgetting to drink plenty. The effects of the heat can sneak up on ya.

I also, like canvasbck, am one of the COF designers for the Arms Room and his comments are right we have limits on what we can do. I usually help do the setups for the PSC matches. Watch matches on the internet and compare the PSC and you will find the PSC is about as good as it gets. The guys that do the COF for these matches are absolutely insane ( In a really good way) and they push you and also let you have lots of fun. Plus the matches are about as well run as you can have from organization, to running time, friendly and all the help from people you can want. I consider their matches a must to shoot. I can promise you will not be disappointed in their matches. Great people and good shooting
