Wife's Grandma

She just turned 90 in july. Went into the hospital with back pains monday. Yesterday started stomach pains. Later they had a hard time getting her vitals stable and rushed her into surgary. Found her digestive system was blocked by a tumor. Had to bypass her intestines then a second surgery was done to bypass her bladder. From what I have been told nothing can be done for the cancer because it is to advanced.

Just got an update last night, she woke up today and is wanting all the doctors to stop intervening with her. says she is in a lot of pain and just wants to die. My father in law is flying back there today.

We did fine out she was a little more alert today, and knows my father in law is there (been there several days now). How ever we did find out one of my wifes great Unkles passaed away in his sleep, and his wife has been placed in hospice care.

They are discontinuing all the medications that are keeping her vitals stable

My mother, bless her heart, knew her time was up and ordered, "NO INTUBATIONS". Her suffering ended at about 0200 hrs the next morning after her hospitalization at age 69 in 1989.
