Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayers for my wife and newborn

#1

Post by mewalke »

I would appreciate as many prayers sent our way as possible. My 32 week pregnant wife fell in the parking lot at church last night and we had to go to the emergency room. Things weren't looking good and she went in for an emergency C section. So far mom and our new baby girl are healthy all things considered. The doctors are very optimistic but there is always some uncertainty in these situations.

Please keep us in your prayers.

Prayers sent. If you don't mind giving us a first name for each, we will also add them to our prayer list at church.

We are also in Denton county, so let us know if you need anything.

Thank you all for the prayers, mom's name is Christy and baby's name is Charlotte. Charlotte was about 6 weeks early and weighed 5 lbs. The NICU team is amazing and her neonatologist says that all of her tests are coming back great. She was put on a ventilator to assist in her breathing and lung development but was able to breath on her own power when she was born.

THank you all for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, it is much appreciated by our whole family. :tiphat:

Praying here too. Glad to hear they're doing well so far.

If it's any comfort, my SIL fell hard right on her belly in the street while in the 30-something-week range with my twin niece and nephew. It was a scary experience, there was some close monitoring, but she and the babies were completely fine. Hoping everything will turn out just as well for y'all and you'll wind up with just a fun story to tell your daughter someday.

What a scary way to welcome your baby! I'm so relieved to hear they are both doing well. Many blessings to you 3!

The power of prayer is amazing. Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers. Mom is home and doing great. Baby Charlie is still in the NICU but her doctor is very optimistic and says she is responding very well to everything.

Now it is just a long waiting game as she continues to progress. It is going to be a long 3-6 weeks, that is for sure.
